Chief Justice Marc Noël announces his retirement

The Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal has issued the following statement:

“Today, I have advised the Prime Minister of my decision to retire as Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal and as a judge of the Court effective August 1, 2023.

It has been an immense honour and privilege to serve first as a judge of the Federal Courts and then as Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal over the last thirty years. I am extremely grateful to the judges with whom I have served and to all those who have assisted me so generously during that time. All of you form part of the tremendous memories that will nourish the road ahead.”
